The characters are so real, it hurts. You can't use dialogue to show emotions when there is so much guilt keeping people, like Amadeo, from being brave enough to express their true thoughts. There was redemption, not just status quo, at the end of the story, because on the cross he was able to see that he had betrayed his daughter. I think it was a magnificent story, and I can't wait to read what the author writes next.
